All of the trannies that they have in Jegs, Summit, and other high performance magazines are all for a 2wd vehicle. What would have to be done to one of these trannys to make it a 4wd one? I was looking at buying a 79 with a blown out tranny and was looking to go this route. The 79 has a TH350 in it now, and I'm not sure on the transfer case. Will doing this require an output shaft change?
