Hello!
I am a new member here but have looked at this forum occasionally for years so finally decided to join.
I grew up driving and wrenching on square body trucks and a few various 67-72's so I am pretty familiar with them. It's been a while since I have owned one but have driven a 94 sub for the last 6 years and am looking to purchase a K5.
With that being said I have used the search tool and scrolled through tons of pages here looking for a "what to look for/problem areas" when purchasing a K5 but haven't found one so I thought I'd ask!
When looking at a blazer what are the definite problem areas a person should check?
Any body issues that could turn to a money pit like the rockers/cab corners on the 67-72 trucks?
How about key things to check with axles and drivetrain?
I am targeting a 73-91 for a daily driver/mountain rig so it doesn't need to be pristine but I don't want to have to replace the entire tub. Just a good base to build on.
All the info is greatly appreciated and hopefully this thread will benefit many more people than myself.
