Byron, GA

lol, I'll be stayin on Summerstone Bend in Byron, in a gated community that I can't remember the name of. Cozette works on the base, so she lives close.

I'll be out there starting this weekend for 3 weeks, then off and on till the end of the year, when it becomes permanent. Should be there in time for Christmas. After the beginning of next year is gonna be the best time for some kind of organized get together. The dually should be in full tow rig duties with either the 8.1 or a dirtymax. I'm cookin up a plan for a 800+hp rock bouncer on properly designed "ultra4" style suspension and axles w/ 47"ltb's :O ....should make all them southern boys look silly. :) Tim Cameron? Whatevaaaaaaa lol:haha:

Bah, if that "kind of driving" got the place shut down, then it wasn't the driving. The people doing it, weren't supposed to be doing it there if it got shut down. Gotta go to places where it's ok. I'm gonna get all into the SRRS/"Southern Rock Racing Series"...THAT sh!t looks like fun.

Yeah those guys are pretty wild. You need to go to Gray Rock in northern Alabama to see that action. They're always putting on some rides and comps like that.

You definatley aren't going to see anything like that around Byron. Unless you can get some land and start something.

i live right near the square by the old Marietta high school. the trucks up off Shallowford and Sandy plains rd though. I could use a hand getting it finished up. only thing left is bolt the axles under it and minor wrap up stuff. hard part right now is ive gotta figure out how to get power to either run my air compressor or get my less than reliable buddy to show up to cut his air compressor on and run the 200 feet of hose to where we have both trucks sitting. rolled my 86 last year bought a new 88 body and im trying to get it back on the road so I can drive it haha its been way too long since ive had my Chevy

Wow... small world. Mine's parked at the Public Storage at Piedmont & Canton Rd. Has been since later 2009. :angry1:

Mine is a collection of small projects that need to each be addressed. The rebuilt rear axle is in, but I didn't have the means to torque the u-bolts down. The rear brakes are totally rebuilt, but I don't have a rear brake line connecting them. Those are just two examples of small things that are keeping it off the road.

Maybe we can collaborate...

RiverRock is shutdown. Steve closed the park a few years ago. I sure wish it was still open, it was only an hour from me. Steve is a hell of a guy. Unfortunately his son was killed in a car accident and I think he lost interest in the park.

The Ocmulgee is pretty deep there if you're talking about down the road from Byron. I wouldn't try to drive in it there.:eek1: There is some rocks in it when you get to Macon though. It's flooded now so you could probably find somewhere to get stuck at. :D

KidJethro, how was your first visit? Do you think you're going to like it?

So far so good. I'll be here till the 15th. I'm gonna be bored as **** during the week though. Cozy goes to work...I have no wheels and none of my shi here to keep me occupied. lol I'm setting fire to my 6gb of 4g through Verizon. Using my phone as a wifi hotspot. Nothin else to do...lol

As far as liking it here...hell yes. Much less uptight in the south. People are friendlier and smile easier. I like it here for sure.

careful now:rolleyes:

Careful of what? I had a rig almost exactly like that one my friend, you know that. :)

I'm talkin Fox bypass shocks at all 4 corners, gearworks drop out diffs w/load bolt, some sort of aftermarket housing, 47" LTB's, 4 link w/7075 aluminum links, all cromoly tube chassis and a 720hp ZZ572 big block with perhaps a 200 shot of the silly gas. :)

Might as well mount a machine gun on the top too.

So are you going to try to find a job here or what?

Somethin like that. :)

I don't do well as an employee. I will be self-employed if I do anything. She works and makes good money, so I don't have to work if I don't want to. ;)
