C30 load adjusting brakes

Does anyone else have a c30 with another proportioning valve mounted on the frame over the rear axle.

I know it's for adjusting the rear brakes when the truck is loaded down.

I just never seen one on an older truck, it's an 85 C30 crew cab dually

Not a C30, but I have one on my '87 V20.

My 1991 R3500 had one before i converted it over to 4x4.

My 91 V3500 (3+3, SRW) and TARussell's 83 K30 (3+3, DRW) both had them.

well I guess it's not so rare, I'm guessing if I just bypass it it'll cause my rear brakes to act funny

I removed mine when I swapped to 4wd but i also lifted at the same time and would have needed to lengthen the piece going to the axle, it didnt cause any ill effects when i removed it but if its not hurting anything for now I say leave it.

Both of the trucks I mentioned were bypassed, no ill effects.
