Anyone can tell about the titled truck? Does it have same kind on frame as the C/K 1500/2500? It does have two frame configurations, straight and tapered. But are those significantly different to lighter frames?

I just found out that it has solid I-beam leafsprung front axle, and wondered that could that be used as a reference if someone would want to convert IFS to live axle and register one to public roads.

What year is it??
I have a 2001 2500HD, and my research tells me the 2500HD and 3500HD were the same frame. The 3500 had heavier-duty suspension and brakes. The C/K 1500 and 2500 non-HD frames are different. They are not as tall for one, not sure on other differences.

The frames are different than the 1/2 and 3/4 tons. The front does have a solid axle, but the spring perch width is different that any axle out there. I think the only one that would work would be pre-77 with the welded on Cs, where the center is more centered.....

Thanks. It would be early 90's rig. But as I thought, frame is so much different, that it would be next to impossible to get it through the safety inspection. And inspector would probably found out that C3500HD is different model series anyway.

But I'll do more research about it, maybe there is a way to make one legal.
