I have to go to the DMV tomorrow to register my trailer, do I need to take it with me or just the bill of sale/title?

They made me bring my trailer in so they could look it over and verify the serial number.

Alright thats what I figured, problem is I don't have access to the tow rig tomorrow so I guess I have to wait till Tuesday /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I'd give them a call and ask the question. They might do things different at your DMV.

I had to supply info on weight ratings and a serial/vin #. That was it. I'd give them a call just to be sure you don't have to drag it out there.

When I registered mine (boat and boat trailer) I didn't have to bring it in.
I guess CA is that way, I don't know about other states but here Jason you don't need to.

The nice thing about CA is that they now give a permanent tag. That's where my trailer is registered. They made me bring it in for the serial number verification and some other info off the data plate. This was up in Fairfield CA. A phone call will let you know and will help make sure you have all of the correct information before going in to the DMV.
