I've got to mitigate some rust thats trying to eat my K5. I have actual holes formed on the top of the cab where the drip rail and top meet right in the crease. I also have holes in the seal area where the removable top meets the cab. The areas are not very large but the compound curves make a welded proper repair seem very difficult, more so considering I will be purchasing my first welder learning as I go. Any ideas or advice? I can post some pictures tomorrow when the sun is shinning bright.

I used some marglass and POR15 after sandblasting and getting rust out, for the same reasons you stated. And its held up very well. Over a year later after sitting through winter with snow, and rain etc, we took the top off and it looks the same.

(I blasted more of the rust out after this pic was taken, didn't apply the marglass over rust)
