I plan to start working on the underside of my truck but am uncertain of which parts I need. On the drivers side of my blazer the front 3 body mounts have gone through the cab support channel. I plan to get a new radiator support so the first one shouldn't be an issue. The next two though, I am not sure what I need. Laying under the truck it looks like the support channel runs from one side to the other but, when looking for "cab support channel" I end up finding some short pieces on LMC and other similar sites. They are only around 13-16 inches. It seems as though that should take care of the area of concern but I just want to make sure I am getting the right part before I start ordering. Any one have any part numbers or advice/ alternate methods?

I ordered the parts. After checking multiple sites I am pretty sure I got the right ones. Next question is: Can I lift the whole cab and put 4x4s between it and the frame for some rust repair/ protective coating? I have seen in other posts about only doing one side at a time so I am a little worried about throwing something out of wack if I lift the whole thing.

good question. just thinking out loud, leave the doors and top on for support , you should be o.k.

take some measurements before taking it apart. gives you a reference when putting it back together. you should be able to pull the frame out completely if you want.

btw, you should post this in the garage. there's more traffic there...:waytogo:

Thanks. I think I may go that route but would have to put it off til next summer.
