im new to this website and was searching till my eyes hurt to look at the screen and havent found one yet.....I have a 79 chevy 1/2 ton i was going to convert to 1 ton but got another idea instead, has anyone swapped a standard cab onto a k5 frame? I looked and looked but no finds. I.m hoping to get answers so i dont wast my time putting the 1 ton running gear under my truck just to move everything over to a blazer frame. Any input or help is greatly appriciated.:waytogo:

I know it'd been talked about, probably done too, just need to type the right wording in. I typed in truck cab on blazer frame. some stuff came up.
 
It has been done before. It's called a Trazer. If you're serious about doing it, I'd pop for the membership, or post in the giveaway thread. Best $25 you'll spend on the project. Lets you see the pics that are attached and allows you to search.

thanks for the help i guess i was looking for the wrong things, the only thing im concerned about is how my 79 cab will fit on a blazer frame. One of your links the guy said it bolted right up with a 80-87 cab and a older blazer???? I guess ill just have to keep looking ans asking what years people are using....Input on the year blazer frame to use for the best fit anyone?
