cab swapping...

Got an '84 K30 with a crappy body. Its got a 12' flatbed on it, too.

I have an '80 C20 with a good body and would like to swap it to the K30.

Other than the tranny tunnel hump, what other issues?

Will the steering column wiring hook up? Hydroboost hook up?

I'm just concerned about the older style onto the newer style. Never have done a swap like this before.

i havn't actually swapped cabs, but have dealt with both styles a lot. i can't think of anything at hand that would be a major problem swapping them.

The 80's cab has the wipers on the dash and the headlights on the floor, while your newer cab probally has both on the wiper stalk. You can just unbolt the wiring + steering column from the newer cab, and bolt it all straight into the 80's cab without any problems. Same goes with the interior, though the VIN plate will be in the wrong spot...
