One nice thing about Bend Tech is you can upgrade to the next version for just the cost difference. So say you started out with Bend Tech EZ3D for $149.00 and you later decide you want to step up to Pro which sells for $275.00, the upgrade will cost you just $126.00.

For tube design and bending, Bend Tech is the best hands down. It doesn't just allow you to design your tube part, it also tells you where to bend it and how much, as well degrees of rotation for multi plane bends. In Pro you can also print out the cutting wrappers for your notching.

Bend Tech will be releasing a sheet and plate module in the next couple of months. This will output dxf files for your sheet and plate parts, as well as print out a template for producing the part by hand.

Bend Tech EZ3D is only $159.00. There are other versions of it that do cost more BUT they also do more.

Im starting to figure that out. Alibre is a huge pain in the ass to figure out how to use however for designing brackets and assemblys its definitley a much better choice. So its a game of give and take i suppose.

I have autocad but have no clue how to make tubes and bends

I have AutoCad also, and I wouldn't even attempt to design a tube part in it. Even if you did get a part designed in AutoCad, it isn't going to tell you where to start your bends. I know those of you that haven't used Bend Tech, don't understand just how easy the software makes it to design, bend, notch and assemble your tube project. Take a look at these videos on You Tube showing Bend Tech Pro.

You'll have to turn the volume up a bit to hear what Cris is explaining.

Like I said above, Bend Tech doesn't just design the part, or assembly, but it also gives you bending and notching instructions, that are calibrated to your bender. It even runs a simulation of the bend process.

Im thinking i might pick up bendtech as well so my software needs are covered until i get into TBI or EFI :doah:

You won't regret buying Bend Tech. Before you do buy the software, call and talk to Cris to be sure you get the lastest release. I know he's working on new versions for Pro and I believe SE as well. Plus the new sheet and plate module will be coming out in the next couple of months.
