Don't know what brackets you have, but they aren't interchangable.

I think thinner rotors are required. Seems like a modified later model rotor will work.

76-78 Caddy calipers are used for the 14bff conversions.

I believe the smaller calipers are used for some, if not all, 10- and 12-bolt rear disc kits.

So, yes, if this a 12 bolt rear (and not a 14), then yeah, the 79-85 calipers could work for you. Definitely the larger (76-78) ones won't.

The problem is finding thin rotors that are the GM 6 lug bolt pattern first of all. This is why the '79-85's are not more common for trucks. Got a pair sitting in the garage, I recall looking everywhere for these.
