Cadillac 4.9L air cleaner

I have been exploring options for putting a snorkel on my TBI 350 burb. Like most, I don't want to spend a mint on an air cleaner that will seal tight at the throttle body. Well, was looking under the hood of a 4.9L equipped Cadillac Seville yesterday and saw its air cleaner. I took it off and it looks like it will mount on my throttle body just fine. Has anyone tried on of these for a snorkel install?

I cant see the specific pic but if you have a LKQ near you can probably pick up a caddy air cleaner for under 10 bucks. I picked up one for cheap but havent done any plumbing or whatnot

I've used these before on 4bbls as well. I they are great for building a cheap, homemade cold air system, and if done right, it actually doesn't look homemade.

That's a pretty good idea. I just have a hell of a time with a 4.9 caddy. That air cleaner reminded me of getting my ass kicked

I have not gotten around to it yet. Life happened and my projects got put on the back burner for a bit. I still plan on doing it
