I using calipers from a 78 Eldorado on my rear disc conversion. Can someone tell me if the Cadillac calipers use any type of retainer to hold the brake pads (similar to the front)? I have not been able to find a drawing of this setup yet.

Nope, no retainer clips. The pads are different from the front pads for your truck though. There is a " TIT " on the inner pad that sits in a notch in the piston for the eldo calipers.

actually they do have those cheesy retainor springs that hook on the groove in the piston, i went ahead and replaced them on mine but in reality i would bet you could get along fine w/o them.
