Does a seperate cage for the cab make sense? Or is combining the front to the rear cage make more sense srength wise.

Build it all at once or build the front cab section and you can eventually add to it. Either way make it all one cage.

The purpose of a one piece cage is to give strenght and to stop frame flex and deflection. if you built it in 2 pieces it would surley crack the frame in the middle due to the flex not being able to be shared through out the whole frame.
