The bar that its sitting on, That's where your shoulder staps of your harness will be mounted?
If so, you may not want that there.
Picture it, Top of B pillar hoop crumples (nasty and unlikely but for sake of discussion), energy transfers down your new bar and begins deformation of the seat belt bar. Seat belts become tighter. Maybe too tight.
You could also move it out to more above the vertical of your seat belt bar or put another vertical underneath it to move the stress to another location.
what are you trying to accomplish at this point?
I think you have a pretty stout cage as it stands. Are you trying to add support to the B pillar?
Think about getting the lower end of the tube off the seat belt bar. You could go back to the next rearward triangle intersection. How about straight down to the floor above the frame rails? "X" (4 triangles!!)braces are your friend. Just throwing some stuff out there for ideas sake.
I'd rather see a bar from the inside upper bend of the B hoop diagonally down to the rad of the quarter hoops behind the front seats. That would eliminate the possibility of the B hoop collapsing inward on a hard impact.
It does depend on how close to the back of your head a diagonal brace tube would be if in that location though...but I'm assuming there's be a headrest of some sort?

Not that my cage is the best on the planet...but I did a 'V' to brace the "B" hoop while still alowing a pass through to the rear.

You have the same era floor I do, and it looks like your 'B' hoop is about 3-4" farther back...
I'm 5'11" and with the seat head rest touching my 'V' bar it was a perfect distance from the steering wheel and the pedals in my truck. Unless you're significantly taller than I am I think you'll be fine.

another pic showing the seat/headrest area...
