Caged and 180\'d K5

Heres a few pix of a bud of mines truck that we have been messing with since the winter.....
Its gonna be a mudbogger for a year or so but its also being built to be converted into a trail rig eventually......

Specs:

593 hp 355 (Verified on the dyno)
180 degree headers
th350
np208
D60 front with 35spline inners and outers
14B bolt rear
Cage tied into stock rollbar and all points tied into frame
38.5 boggers
4 inch skyjacker softrides
front axle moved forward 6.5 inches

The truck is nowhere near done and we know that the cage needs more X's and braces and the shackle angle is jacked because there is no tranmission tcase etc in the truck, but these are just a few build pics for ya to check out.

take it easy

onto the pics in no particular order

That's one crazy set of headers you've got there /forums/images/graemlins/yikes.gif Over all i like it /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif Pretty trick front spring hanger too, and adjustable, nice... How much lift you netting all together? How's the rear set-up, just the 4" springs? Looking good, keep up the updates

The headers are off of a roundy round car, we had them laying around and decided that we'd fire up the sawzall and make them fit /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

The rear is set up with a set of later model rear springs with an add a leaf and a small lift block. Itll have ladder/traction bars as well so the small blocks shouldnt be a problem. The front springs and hangers probably give around 5 inches of lift or so total. I have a bunch more pics of the rest of the cage, seat, plumbing, fuel cell, exhaust tunnel etc...... Ill try and get them up for yall to check out on monday. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Caged and 180\'d K5

you beat me to it, was gonna say they are off a circle tracker. Usually see some nice big pipes sticking out the "door" of a race car. Makes for a nice sound blasted at the audience /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I can find out more specifics this weekend, but from what I remember, 010 4bolt main block punched .030, @ 13:1 comp je pistons, eagle rods 5.7", Scat (i think) crank 3.48" stroke, Full roller .600" something lift cam with crower lifters, crane gone rockers and rocker girdles. The old pro-action/pro-topline cast iron heads (from before they had the quality control problems /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif), Victor jr, or team G intake ( I dont rememeber right off hand) and a holley 750hp. It made 593hp at @ 7500 rpm so our plan is to turn it to around 7700 or so in the pit. Of course witht he headers on it itll sound like its spinnning 16,000 so it should be interesting to say the least. /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
