I'm stoked for this season :deal:

California has upped the limit on mourning/whitewing doves to 15 bag, 45 posession...and removed all limits and seasons on eurasian collared doves statewide. We can now blast away at those big noisy things :weapon17:

It's gonna be fun as hell!

Ha! I was going to give you crap for not realizing what year it is Jeff...

Regulation changes for 2014 - 2015

  • The late pheasant archery season has been re-established, extending for 28 days after the general pheasant season, and in addition to the early pheasant archery season.
  • The daily bag limit for mourning and white-winged doves increased to 15 in aggregate of which no more than 10 may be white-winged doves.
  • Eurasian collared-dove season is open all year, statewide, beginning September 1.
  • 30 sage-grouse permits have been approved for the North Mono Hunt Zone.

You know, Ive never seen the other kinds of Doves. I'm going to go to a few different spots this year. Im getting tire of the same ole spots.

Really? They are THICK over here, and also where I'm going for the opener.

They're about 1.5x - 2x the size of a mourning dove, but they sound like a damn crow. They taste just like mourning dove (they eat the same stuff), but you get way more meat from them.
