Has anyone else in Kalifornia had any issues getting zinc chromate? The paint supplier I was at today stated that all self-etching primers were being phased out so I could buy a whole QUART that they had left, but that was it.

I hadn't heard anything about this, but I wouldn't be surprised. They were recomending a SEM product called MetalLock but I've never heard of it.

Anyone have any other info or is it a crock of BS?

Also, anyone have any experience with this other stuff?

Yeah same problem, but up here in Canada. Ive been using ProForm

" Direct to metal ". Ive had no problems with this new product yet.....

If you only want rattle can size go to Autozone or whatever auto parts store you choose. I never had a problem getting larger sizes from paint stores but if you cant get it in your area go through tcp global's website. They will ship you anything. I stopped using etching primer and just use a direct to metal epoxy now.
