third pic is same lift w/ 33x12.50 BFG A/T's on 8" rims. these fit better, but still rubbed the back of the fender/wheelwell @full stuff.

How do you like the ride/flex of your lift? Did you have to do any steering mods?

ummm I can show ya stock 31's pics lol... 33's are waiting to be bought still. I promised my wife I would not buy anything until after x-mas. Where as I will also be buying a donor truck to convert my burb over to 4x4.

Here's one of my old trucks. 2" suspension 1" body on 33's with 10" rims.

rides good. needs better shocks,i'd get bilstiens instead flex's great for stock length springs. i did have to swap to a 2" dropped pitman arm. might not have been nessesary, but it was reccomended.

bump.
where can you buy dropped pitman arms for our trucks? how hard are they to install?
thanks,
James

Heres my K5 on 33". As far as I can tell, the springs/lift are stock. I had 3.08 with these tires, and it wasn't great off the line, but cruising and passing on the highway was pretty nice. Now I have 6" lift, 35's, and 4.11's. Nice from a stop, but that "push" isn't there at highway speeds when I try to pass.

And you can get a dropped pittman arm from ORD I believe, or WFO Concepts, who are extremely helpful when you give them a call. Talk to Trevor, he's the man.

That's a nice truck. I wonder how 3.73's will do with my 33's? I can't wait till I get them on the truck and can post up pics ;)

Man, how do you run 35's on a 4 inch? I tried to fit 33's on mine when I had the stock 1 ton springs up front with an add-a-leaf and they rubbed so I went to a 4 inch. Wish I could fit 35's without trimming

proper backspacing, narrow wheels and extended bumpstops are all factors in fitting 35's without trimming, but most people just go the :hack: way....

ORD sells them. About $90. Easy to install. Had one on my 70 GMC w/ 2" lift. Remove 1 TRE and 1 bolt @ gear box. The pitman arm will only go on one way.

cool, here's a real noob question, whats a TRE?

so the ORD pitman arm will work with my stock steering if I go with 4" of lift, correct?
thanks,
James
