did you primer before putting on the final coats?

how many coats did you put on?

about how many cans did you use?

how did you prep the chome parts? just sand it with fine grit paper?

getting ready to paint tommrow, figured ide ask some question quick and see how many cans most people used to i know about how many to buy, almost everyone used some kinda rustoleam paint?

plan is to have a olive and flat black mix, most of the chrome will be painted flat black and the rest will be mostly olive

Didn't turn out too bad, but I spent tons of time on prep and wetsand.

what did you do prep wise? and how did you go about wetsanding?

I replaced panels where needed, including welding in new sections. Bondo and sealer (no thicker than 1/16"). Do a little research, autobody is an art, takes some practice, but it can be done right if you have the time.

easy steps

1. buy paint in color of choice.
2. buy beer in brand of choice
3. shake paint can, (if you skipped ahead to step 4 for be cautious of shaking the wrong can).
4. open and drink beer.
5. do a half assed masking job ( it's rattle can if you cared you wouldn't even start)
6. Spray your ass off!
7. scrape overspray off the glass with a razor blade.
8. consume remaining beer and bask in the glory of your newly painted rig!

I used around 12 or so cans, buy the spray gun thingy that snaps to the top of a spray can it really saves your finger.
