If you have an edelbrock in your chevy, I would LOVE to see what you are running for fuel line, and fuel fliter.
thanks soo much   ,
James

I dont have one anymore but when i did use one i used a 3/8 rubber fuel line with a clear plastic inline filter from o'reillys.

That is how I installed my 600 a few days ago. cut the metal line where it bends in over the intake behind the alternator , put on the clear filter which came with all the fittings and hose to hook up to the carb. Cost like $2

Sorry about the picture quality but I was shooting blind in the dark. This is the expensive way from Edelbrock or you just use a banjo style carb fitting with a 3/8 'th nipple and fuel line with a $3.00 fuel filter. One works as well as the other.

I took my time and bent up metal line fuel line to run the entire route with piece of 3/8 fuel hose to connect the carb. The filter is inline close to the fuel inlet. (not pictured) The whole mess is going a way for a Marine EFI system with in a few months anyway. Still in parts gathering mode for that project. If anybody has a lead on a Mercruiser L29 ECM I could sure use one.

El-cheapo...

I just cut the OEM metal line near the intake ,and added a metal inline gas filter, and used rubber fuel line to the fitting on the carb on my "performer" 1405 carb..had to use a spacer under the stock air cleaner to avoid contact with the rubber hose,my carb had a straight fitting that sticks out towards the passenger side, not a banjo fitting..I got the spacer off a chevy van's air cleaner,it jacks it up about 2"...

I bent up a stainless line from the pump and used a Fram G3 filter.

WOW, I didn't even think of that. Where can I get a banjo fitting instead of my straight fitting?
thanks,
James

I've seen the banjo fittings in Jegs, and Summit Racing catologs, and at Speed shops and some Autozone's and Pep Boys..they cost about 12 bucks...my cheapo friend made his own from an old front brake hose!..but I prefer not to jerry rig fuel system parts THAT crudely!..:eek1: ..but it DID work for him!..

just installed a 650 avs today. ran the typical metal line up to the intake with rubber and inline filter the rest of the way. clean look, proven performance.

I run a chrystler aplication guel filter with a return on it. I run an elecric pump and the return back to tank on the filter releives the extra. Seems to work great on my edelbrock q-jet

if your runnin the performer series edelbrock,it might run lean in the cruise mode.I had to go one stage richer.Very easy though, the metering rods just pop right in takes every bit of 2 minutes. You will definitely know if its lean

How will it act if it is lean?

James
