ok i bought a used cam and i started to install it i got the cam and lifters in then i talked to a few people and the said it will mess my motor up buy the used but some people say i can that it will be fine and some people say just change the lifters the motor is a gm goodwrench 350 with a bout 9000 miles i could really use your input

Using a used cam is no problem at all BUT the lifters MUST be installed on the same exact lobes that they originally were on otherwise it will eat the cam and lifters. Lifters are relatively cheap so i would use the used cam but install new lifters so that you know you won't have a failure.

Ive installed used cams before, but with new lifters each time. never had a problem.
