So i bought an 04 LQ4 from my brother who got it from another guy who did a bunch of mods to it and it supposedly makes ~450hp.

I don't know jack squat about cam numbers but this is what i know about the cam, its a "Comp Cam .525/.535 112/114". I'm assuming 112 is the LSA and the 114 is the Intake Centerline? Any help would be cool... with a K

Sure its not 212/214 duration?

That’s a pretty mild low lift cam. Pretty typical of a “stage 1” cam. I looked at a bunch of these. I think mine is 212/214 duration with .551 lift at 113 LSA, maybe....

Can you get a part number? You can look up the specs on comps website

Yeah I’m willing to bet that was a typo. In that case its just little bigger than stock.

Has this thing ran since the build?

Yeah, it's been sitting for two years though. The guy I guess was drunk driving and ran the truck into a tree so he pulled the motor. I've personally never heard it run but the guy said it made around 450 ponies

.525 is a heep of lift...as in A LOT

Go to the comp cams website....look at the cams for a LS and see if you can find a cam w.those specs.

Then, see what the description is for the cam is w.those specs.

I'll take a look but could 112 be the LSA and 114 be the intake centerline?

Probably

And 525 is ok on the lift as long as the valve springs are right

First gen SBC crate engines are running 510 lift on all the zz series engines

That looks like a good performance upgrade, certainly not radical by any means.
