The quick answer is most likely yes. If you do data logs before and after the cam change, the need to make changes will very apparent! From my personal experience, I'd venture to say you more than likely need to make changes to PROM Chip your using to run the engine now.

Things that almost always need to change for a cam change.
1. Injector Flow
2. VE Tables
3. Idle Settings
4. Timing Table
5. Acceleration Enrichment
6. DFCO (Deceleration Fuel Cutoff)
7. Cold Start / Warmup settings

I think the ultimate TPI upgrade is not a camshaft, but the ability to program the PROM chip yourself!:doah:

Check out my link to a TPI engine running on an engine stand. I did everything, including engine rebuilding, wire harness, and PROM Chip Programming.

If you change a motor and want to see the changes then you will have to tune for them. That said off road cams for 4x4 roack crawling type not Mud Bogging are usually rated from 0 RPM up and have great idle and low end. So yours should start idle and run fairly well to begin with.
