Camshaft Question

Gentlemen,
I have a 1986 K5 with the 350 and Quadrajet carb. Apparently this
carb is "computer controlled". What is the largest camshaft I can use with this
"computer". Does anyone make a chip for this thing?

People should be able to burn a chip for that. Brian at tbichips.com is the only "business" I can think of who might have any experience with it.

I would suspect that it will be similar to TBI in how it tolerates modifications, but there are some intricacies.

I'm no pro on California emisisons, but I believe you'd be ok swapping in an '87+ TBI motor, and that would probably be an easier thing to do. It would certainly be cleaner underhood.
