If this were going in my crawling truck I would probably bump up the cam a bit too. I am usually crawling at around 2k and have enough gears to make up for much loss and the higher HP up top would be fun in the mud and snow and dunes we have out here
That is another reason I'm going with the doubler. I can see using 2:1 for dunes and such, and 4:1 for more crawling type situations.
And bouncing it off the rev limiter always sounds cool.
