if i were to bolt in a 3/4 ton rear out of a 73 to a 91 into a 1st gen k5 instead of hacking the spring perches off could I use the 2nd gen style spring mounts to move the spring mounting width to match?

thanks

Not likely......

You may have made the rear part of the spring/hanger work, but the hanger width on the front side of the rear leafspring will still be wrong.

Does that makes sense?

what about getting a 2nd gen rear spring front hanger and changing out both mounts.???

it'll work. just need rear spring front hangers. (2wd for stock settings) but i'm gonna get 4wd ones for more lift.
the rear flip is lower then a 1st gen style so there more lift there and I won't have to run such a long shackle.

WOOHOO!!

Why not just build an "offset" rear shackle???

I already have 2 sets of extended shackles that I bought. and both styles of ORD flips.
