Can a 465/205/divorced 205 setup be done?

I am not following. 241s come in 2 variants, 27 spline and 32 spline. 32 spline goes behind TH400s and newer 465s(like the 2 465s I own). ANd the 27 spline goes behind the TH350 and 700R4. KJ's 465 is a 10 spline output(or at least I believe it is if that is a stock 465-203 setup). Also I would never put gear reduction in front of an Np241. Thus my idea of 208/241 in front of a divorced 205. If you did 241/241 thats 2.72 times the torque on that second 241.

As for your second thing, I am completely not following on switching ford and chevy divorced/married parts.

[/ QUOTE ]I was referring to that as a way to get the first t-case (241) output on the driver side, and second case (205) output on passenger side, in order to keep his current axle.

Could there be a way to change out the "divorced" section on a divorced Ford Np205 w/ the "married" section of a married chevy Np205? If so, you could get a divorced ford Np205 and switch that out. I would imagine it would require a custom shaft or two though...

That'd be pointless. You'd still have driver drop no matter what Chevy parts you put in the Ford 'case.

if anyone could chop off the front output section of a tcase and weld it shut I would think it would be Jethro. Same if you used a 208/241 for a reduction box, I'd definetally remove the front output and weld a plate over the opening.

If you already have the 465 and 203, you're golden. Just do a doubler dude....you already have the hard to find part that we all want.

he aint the only one....

check into WMS. they can make a "doubler" for a little less tha ord.
just an idea. they also make more combinations, e.g. for the LONG input np205 that is easier to find.
GRant

this all got me thinking what I will do for tcase in my coming project, I want to go to an auto trans so I need to make up gear ratio. Think a WMS doubler will be the ticket.

[/ QUOTE ]You don't understand then. This would make a married driver-side, and then a divorced pass-side t-case. I am not sure it would even work though.

there are married Ford driver side cases, and there are divorced passenger side.
