Is there anything I can do to my 6"inch to convert it to a 12 " lift. Add leaf springs?add a leafs? Trying to fit 49" tires

In short no

49's won't fit with a 12" either

What howdiy said...

No you cant make it have more lift, and 12" barely clears 44's at the mall and wont clear 44's with real use without trimming.

OK, quick response(thanks) . What lift would I need for 49"tires? My best bet would be to sell my current 6"lift and tires (37iroks) and start from scratch??

Yes.

To clear 49s without cutting you are looking at custom stuff. Leaf springs that big will have no give at all

I would look at custom links and coils

Would longer shackles and the 3"body lift clear 49"tires? This blazer would not be wheeled hardcore , didn't mention that before. Maybe go with a 47" tires?

Ok I'll be the party pooper.... forget about the lift right now. You said you plan on wheeling it (you said not hardcore but you still plan to leave the pavement)...

So what's your plan for axles, gears and steering?

Ok, I get where you're going. For now this truck will be all show no go. Upgrades on differentials and axles, gears coming later on. Stearing is what I would take care of when I'm doing the lift. I just want the look at this point , then work myself up to all the upgrades in order to take my rig offroad. Let me put it to you this way,I would not even climb on a 2"boulder with my weak differentials and that size tire . :D This is my truck as it sits now, with a little fender trimming.

Longer shackles aren't gonna do anything but throw your pinion angles off.

3" body lift was already accounted for in my post.

If you really wanna do 49's, build it like this:

12" front Superlift springs.
4" front blocks welded to 2.5 ton Rockwell axles.

8" rear Superlift springs.
4" ORD or DIY4X shackle flip.
4" rear blocks welded to 2.5 ton Rockwell axles.

Add the 3" body lift.

Netting you around 19" of total lift and still install the Bushwacker cut-out flares will fit the 49's you dream of.

But then again, if you wanna do it a little safer than how I explained above, just get some custom made springs made instead. Order for some 20" or up to 24" springs and you won't have to use a body lift or Bushwackers. Plan on spending some coin here.

If this is your truck in its current state, LEAVE IT ALONE. It looks damn good, almost perfect the way it is.

Thanks , but I was about to trade for a stepside that had 49" iroks and the deal fell through. So now I'm left with the itch for a way bigger rig . :D

Warning, further raining on parade-

You do realize that without substantial upgrades, fitting a 47-49" tire won't be acceptable in the least for road use. (Think about all the extra weight of the tires and wheels then think about how halfton chassis bits are going to handle trying to do that!) :eek1:

(insert flaming bus filled with orphans and nuns analogy here) :D

There's gonna be a lot of upgrades needed to safely and effectively run 47-49" tires!!!

How was that truck set up for lift?
I think you would agree that is wasn't setup properly, atleast for offroad action. First off it didn't have 3/4 ton differentials but the the springs had a huge arc, I did see some long azz shackles. Wish I had taken some pics of the actual suspension. I didn't see any blocks up front or in the back.
