just tore into my $50 GM np205 and found that its a syncromesh. picking up a ford donor case to grab the fixed yoke rear and 32spl front. can i swap everything except the input and make it a standard 205. its a 10 spline i'm boring out for 32spline. rebuiding for a doubler set up. if it can't be done can you twin stick a syncro 205?

Can someone tell me why would you want to do away with the synchro 205's?

The sycro'd version will not readily accept a 32 spline front output.

thanks guys, is that the only reason guys don't use them or are there problems with the syncro collar?
