can anybody tell me if my G80 went kaputs???? pics.

well, im wondering if the G80 in my 14bolt is anygood. it's just gonna be for daily driving, so im not worried about a detroit or anything. here are some pics. when i drained the oil, there were some very very very small pieces of metal in there, but the ring and pinion look fine to me. check it out, it all spins free. i pulled this from the local yard and it was under a blazer. is there anyway to tell for sure???? thanks

I'm having an increasingly difficult time DDing without a Detroit. Hell - I'm getting one for my work van next.

As already said, you can't diagnose much beyond listening for noises when spinning a wheel by hand.

I can tell you however, that is NOT a Detroit - and thus - is inherently broken.
