I have TPI too! I didnt see this thread. Jake you should have just PMed me, I would have given you all the answers. If you get everyhitng off a 92 3rd gen, then youll need everyhitng the 92 had to pass smog. Everything listed on the underhood emissions label, you need. You can get setups off ebay, or buy the whole car, like I did, and part it out. In the end the whole setup for me want that much at all. Id get a harness from Painless. I hear people bitching all the time about how everyhitngs electronic and how they dont kmow how to work on them, BLAH. The reason I took my ****ty carb off was because I know how to work on the newer stuff, and waas tired of a carb. So knowing that, my question to you is (dont take this the wrong way), can you handel all the electronics and everyhitng? If you have any more questions, let me know, im glad to help ya out man.

Can he get rid of the CCC system and still be smog legal? I would think that going to a "regular" carb would be considered regressing in emissions.

No that wouldnt be legal.

Back in the day I think it was Holley that was rebuilding the CCC Q-jets, I believe they were called Holley II's, although that may have been their name for all rebuilt Q-jets at the time.

I kind of have a feeling they don't do them anymore, but there are still a fair number of cars/trucks running around with these systems in regions that require a visual, so I would *think* someone still has to be making them.

Problem of course is that calibration for each carb is different for each vehicle, and it's not quite as "bolt on and go" as the regular Q-jet. I had heard both good and bad about the Holley reman's, that may have been why.

CCC system has no more or less wiring than a TBI system, and barely less than TPI, so the swap would be no more hassle than CCC really. Heck, can probably re-use the MAP sensor lol.
