Can anyone say "parts truck's"

i picked up the top one, they couldnt find the other one. it was there, but for some reason the numbers didnt match. either way that will get worked out. the one i picked up is worth a bit more than i thought due to them leaving all the radio connections and transformers in it. no key though, but everything is there to make it run. all i need is the "magic" key from uncle sam or swap out the ignition and gove her a shot.

Make sure if they try to pawn another one off on you it's as good or better than you expected.

They have lots of disclaimers about pics and what you are buying to protect themselves but don't let that deter you. You do have rights which are not given up simply because of a disclaimer they posted. One you should keep in mind is since they "wrote" the contract any ambiguities or mistakes should count against them. Not you.

Of course bottom line is how far you are willing to push and hassle you are willing to go through.

Hopefully they will find the one you bought or offer you your pick of several.

X2 what he said^^^^^^
You might want to find out ahead of time the area superviser's name and phone number. It helped me that I knew the area sup when the flunkies at Red River Army Depot tried to jerk me around--I dropped his name and pulled his card out of my pocket, and they would have given me anything I wanted to keep me from calling him, LOL.

well they found it, it was the one i told them it was. problem wasnt a big one. even the supervisor said "if we cant find the right one, we'll let you pick one out or give you a refund". the second one was sold before and the guy never came to get it, which is why the numbers didnt match, it still had the old sale number on it, but i is the only all green one they had with a flat right front tire and the only one on the whole lot with the rear canvas top bows.

Bastage...all of the CUCV's in MI are either rust buckets with over 100k miles or ones like mine that someone brought in from out of state...not even worth bothering with.

Hey! I haven't talked to you since I picked up my axles from you... haha its your axles that started this money pit of a K10 project ;)

Hmmm so what are the plans? Your rig already has a D60 so I'd assume you just bought these to make some extra $$$... anyways its good to see you're still around here...

my plan is changing every day. the first one i picked up started and runs like a champ, well a diesel champ anyway. i'm probably going to swap my axles for the axles out of the good running truck just for the lower gearing since i only have 4.10's. the other truck is stricktly a parts truck. probably gonna salvage the starter for myself so i have a spare, as well as a few other parts. gonna sell the rest. the motor on the "bad" one looks in good shape, but it's missing the glow plug card under the dash and a few other items that would be more trouble than it's worth. i know it has low mileage and no water in the oil, no leaks anywhere so it probably is a good motor too, i just dont have the time to check it. parts will be sold as time permits their removal.... having 3 kids on my days off limits my time for playing..
