Looks like a 14 semi float.

browsing on my phone made it look d60ish

ya, that doesn't look like a 14 bolt to me. You could call him though and make sure.

kinda off topic........but can someone tell me the difference between the wheel mounting surfaces of a 10 bolt and a semi floating 14 bolt?

width wise?

one goes from here................................................... to the trash

one goes from trash...................................................to the truck

ya dig? lol I dunno, haven't heard anyone complain

yea.....width wise, what's the WMS to WMS for both axles. i'll hazzard a guess the semi is wider. perhapse i didn't articulate myself properly. ya dig?

There are 2 or 3 widths for the 14s/f, depending on year and which brakes they had. Compared to your 10b, they should be equal in width up to about 3" wider, but I don't have the exact numbers. Who knows what that thing is - you'll have to measure.

They're pretty commonly 67". I think the 3/4 ton Suburban's in the 80's were most often SF14 and front 10 bolt.

Basically just the shape of the differential.

I think we are all wrong though, because you wouldn't find a 10b/14bsf under a 3 and a 1/4 ton.:sign5:

It's a semi-float 14b from an early to mid-80s 3/4 ton (not a 3 and a 1/4 ton) alot of those came with 4.10s and posi, it'd be a nice upgrade for the pos 10b. Good luck with the deal :thumb:

cant tell the lug pattern, but looks like a 14b sf axle.you may have to change wheels if its 8 lug.looks pretty damn rusty.if its been through that much rust you may need a full rebuild on them or at the least seals replaced before you use them.
