Well after waiting for a year after they said they would release i decided to e-mail them again and this is what i got

We are prototyping the steel now. I hope to be able to ship this in
March/April.

So...yeah i am doubtful but one can hope. also with the price tag i am starting to save. lol. Maybe if they actually do produce them we can get a big group buy and get discounts. maybe if we all e-mail them inquirying about group buys it will light a fire under their a$$ and they will actually make it.

sorry i had class not a small rodent in my ass. Anyways they r by far superior to the stc top in my opinion. but they r 1300 bucks. i know it changed ownership and then the wildfires destroyed there supply line for a bit. maybe if enough people are interested they will actually make them again. just thought i would share the e-mail i got with you all.
 
I called the # on the site about 6 months ago and they told me it would be ready for pre-order in October. I will be very surprised and happy if this ever happens.
 
This topic sounds off every now and again. Though CAN-BAK makes a solid product, too much $$$$. And the customer service is anything but. I got fed-up with those bozos and designed my own, found a shop that would build it and payed 460.00. That was 4+ years ago and it still works great
 
Yup they told me the same thing last summer. "The tops will be ready in fall 20when hell freezes over".
