Can I delete this brace?

I'm in the process of doing a 5.3 / 4L60E / NP241 swap into my 75 K5, and this was under the old transfer case. Is it OK to send this to the scrap pile? I'd like to loose the weight if it is not serving any purpose.

try and sell it someone might want it. its a skid plate basicly. you be fine. thats all the second crossmember was for. to help support the skid plate.

Yeah, you can get rid of that. It was an option anyway. Some square-bodies didn't come with it.

I will give you a couple dollars for the skidplate if you will put it in a USPS flat rate box and ship it to me.
