Hi, I want to put the complete power train from 78 4X4 BLAZER into a 1996 chev p/u 4x4. Any ideas ? No fuel injection just carb.

Technically using just the body and frame. Sure can, motor mounts are the same, trans mounts will probably be different. You'll need shafts and all the springs and brackets for the SAS in the front, but is certainly doable.

BTW welcome to the boards. You will not find anymore knowledge about GM trucks than you will on here. To have full access a membership is $25, and it more than pays for itself, ask anyone!

96 chev p/u

Thanks for the reply, I am not too sure about the steering box mounting to the 96 frame from the 78 blazer. The control arms will have to be removed from the 96 also. your ideas on that. thanks from canada.

i'd do the solid axle swap on the '96 but keep the FI and the rest of the power train. You'll just need to source a passenger drop T-case...

Carb's suck

Cheers from the left coast of Canada. :)
