I’m finally swapping Barney’s motor. (‘90 K5)
The donor motor has a larger oil pan on it and I really don’t want to swap the pan, on the passenger side the brace that runs from the motor mount to the transmission flywheel cover won’t clear the new oil pan. I’m considering doing without the passenger and running the driver side brace only do y’all think that this will cause me problems or don’t worry about it and roll on?

I took pics of both sides so you can have an idea of what I’m talking about. The biggest issue in swapping the pans means I’ll have to deal with the tamper proof bolts that are installed on this motor and a new pan gasket, and all that fun stuff. But if I’m going to do it I’d rather do it on a motor stand before the motor is in the truck.
