I’m putting a 88' TBI 350 in a 89' 454 CC truck with hydro boost. The 454 has been pulled, along with the pump. Will a new pump mount up to my 350 with the brackets that I already have or do I need to get something else?

Thanks guys

Hydroboost steering pumps are the same size and have the same mounting as regular ones.

They do have the second return line, but that's just plumbing; the pump will mount up in the same bracketry and such as your existing ones.

sorry to hijack but i was about to ask this same question, i'm planning to put in hydroboost and my power steering pump just started pouring out the front cover. so i can put in a hydroboost pump and just block off the second return line, if not i'll just rebuild the pump? also the only other things i should need to put in hydroboost is the booster the gear box and the lines?

oh yeah i have a serp setup from a 94 burb, but iirc the pumps are the same

again sorry for the hijack

Well, note that the return line is in the RESERVOIR, technically, so if you have both, you could just take the good reservoir/cover and put the good pump proper in it ... and/or replace the O-ring around the pump proper, 'cuz it sounds like that's what leaking.

S'pose you could block off the line, but that's cheesy, especially if you have the right parts there.
