Can I get the speedo to work with this setup?

I have a 1990 k5 and the transfer case is from an 86.

Is there anything I can do besides change the gages to get this to spin again?

Thanks.

Iirc Painless Wiring makes a widget for this but can't remember if its for mech to elect or vise versa.

I have that dealio in my truck. TPI needs a VSS to run right. I have an adapter that goes into my transfercase (np 208) in place of the speedo gear and it converts that to an electronic pulse for the ECM.
I got it from street and performance.

Great! Do you have a link or part number?

Thanks!

possible to swap on the 241 electric speedo tcase parts on a 208 case the older setup would have .

not sure tho . as i only play with 205 tcases .

You have to feed the DRAC (assuming you want to get the right signals to RWAL, cruise, ECM, and speedometer)...which is a 40 tooth reluctor. Check out jagsthatrun.com to see if anything is available. Forget PPM, that is not what you need to get the proper signal to the DRAC.

As I recall there is an external setup that was being sold, but for me, it looked like even driving through tall grass might foul it.

I'd just swap the proper 241 parts in to get the right signal if possible. Either is going to cost you, factory is going to be as reliable as...factory.
