can i put a 6 lug 3/4 ton rear axle in my 93 1/2 ton burb?

would like a beefier rear end for towing then my 10 bolt but don't want to mess with an 8 lug conversion in front. couldn't i use one of those light 3/4 ton rear ends that are 6 lug? not sure what gear ratios came in those either. anyone???

Yes, 14 bolt SF 9.5" 6 lug rearend.

yes you can they came mostly with 3:73's and 4:10's

I've got the same issue. I'm towing about 5500lbs with the Jeep and trailer. The 3.73's might be a nice improvement over the 3.42's anyway. Can anyone run down which vehicles had these 3/4ton 6 lugs? Is there an axle code or BOM like DANA axles use? In other words, if I visit the boneyard looking for one what do I need to eyeball for so I don't hafta look under every skirt in the yard.
