My welder, an older century mig, has a broken wire somewhere in the stinger (whip) and only works if you curl the stinger just right so the wires touch again. So can I just gut the stinger and replace the wires? Or do Ihave to get a whole new one? The welder iitself stillworks fine. Althou gh I have flux core wire in it now and want to swap it over to gas. I assume it'sas easy as addi ng the bottle? It has the little nipple on the back for it.

The part that goes into the welder, if you slide the big rubber both back, the wire can be fixed inside there...

I have a complete gun off a Century welder.... if you cant fix yours...

you will need the bottle of gas and a regulator and then you should be in business...:waytogo:

I have a 220V Miller 175 for the heavier stuff and a grainger's no name 115V box I use for thin stuff..

The little 115 volt box runs gas also and does a real good job for fabbing stuff and tack welding...
