Can I swap my 10 bolt front discs to a D44 drum front end?

When I get the 1970 Blazer, I'd like to do a front disc brake swap because it's seriously hard to brake the way it is right now with 4 wheel drums. I have the front discs from my 86 chassis, and I can pull a disc brake booster off another truck in our yard, but I need to know how to do the swap... is it just changing parts and running the lines, or is it far more complicated?

You have to change the knuckles out , and then the rest bolts on to that .

The drum knuckles spindle mounting holes are clocked differently , and the disc brake stuff won't clear the casting on the drum knuckle .

If you have the whole 10 bolt , why not bolt the whole thing in ..... if the gears are right of course .

As long as the 1970 K5 has the original open knuckle axle you can swap all the brake parts including the knuckles, stub shafts, the prop valve, the booster and master then plumb it all up and bleed. May be easier to swap the whole front axle over if the gear ratio matches though, but can be done the other way.
