Can I use 85 parts on my 89

I'm new to group and this is my first k5.its a stock 350 1989 and I may be able to get an 85 k5 that's stocks its a pretty clean and straight body only with out trans for a decent price. Could I use most of the parts off the 1985 as I break my 89. Rears transfer case hoods ect ect or is it going to be a big pain in the butt. Thanks for any and all help

85-90% of the two would be identical parts. What is different is the carb vs TBI, axleshafts changed from 28 to 30 splines (complete axles can be swapped though), minor interior differences, and off course the headlights/core support.
