I just bought a 14 bolt rear ff and I have no Idea what the gears are in it. It came out of a 77 van 1 ton 8 lug can someone so help me or tell me were to look to get a code off of it. thanks

Drop the cover. It should be stamped on the ring gear somewhere. It will probably appear in the teeth code.

41:10 = 4.10
41:9 = 4.56

something like that. divide the first number by the second number and you get your ratio.

rotate the axle 1 revolution and count the number of times the input shaft turns. If the input shaft turns 4.56 times, then you have 4.56 gears.

I think I came up with 3.73 this may not be right if it is a 3 73 I am going to thow it a way. its only 75 bucks I guess u get what you pay for. HUH
