Can someone take a look at Carb.

Now where do I start making a good carb? :doah:

You are asking if you can use it on your '78?

Yes, you can use it. It will run "full rich" (primary rods all the way out, all the time) without being hooked up to a computer. From my experience, the engine will run, but you will knock your mileage down to around half of what it should be, and that amount of fuel being dumped isn't good for the engine.

So in other words, it will likely let your engine run, but it's not right. Go get a non-CCC carb.

I think the newer design (one in the front of that pic) is slightly better, it seems you get a bit better control over how it runs. A bit more "refined" if you want to put it that way, even though it has a few more emissions related vacuum ports on it.

I choose the second one with manual choke, just finished putting ti on and works perfect. Thanks for the response. I gonna get the first one rebuilt and Sell the Edelbrock.
