Its a 87 1ton 4x4. has a 350 and a sm465. Also, its a dually if that matters. I was told its 4.56 or 4.10s. thanks for the help as always

pull a cover

look at the RPO sticker

get stamping code off axle tube or tag


no one here is going ot know what you have any better than you do

Your three factory options should be 3.73 , 4.10 or 4.56's .
4.10's being the most common but all were availble.

RPO = Regular Production Order They are codes used by GM to identify parts/options.

Example : A "M22" is a RPO for the old close ratio high performance Muncie "Rock Crusher" 4-speed used from 1965 to 1974 in GM cars .

mark driveshaft
jack up 1 rear tire.
spin tire i revolution
count how many time the mark went around
4 and a bit = 4.10s
4 and a half = 4.56s
3 and three quarters = 3.73s

It says in your sig its a CUCV, correct me if I'm wrong, aren't those 1 ton CUCV's with 4.56s?
 
Yes, cucv 1 tons have 4.56, but this is atruck i am getting. thx offroad for that.
