3.55 I believe is the lowest gear offered in a Dana 60.
Yep, 3.54 is the highest (numerically lowest) gear ratio for a D60.
Supposedly D61 had them stock too (maybe even the old rear D61's and not the later fronts)

3-15-78 = the date the ring gear was cut. (no way did Dana put it in a 1984 axle. You either have a 78-79 dana 60 or someone changed the gears and bought some used gears).
620095 = the ring gear part number (pinion is probably 620094).
a3d42 = either the heat code for what furnace they were ran thru or lot number for the material I cann't remember).
519 = the match set number (hopfully your pinion has the same number that has been etched on it).
