I have a old style front drive shaft in my '72 with the yoke style connection to the CV and I want to swap in an '80 np205 with the flange style yoke. I just had the drivelines extended and the CV rebuilt last year when I put the lift on. I have the front drive line from the 80, but it is junk. Can a drive line shop convert the good drive line to a flange? Or do I need to get the junk one rebuilt fully rebuilt and sized?

Should be as simple as attaching the flange to the existing yoke and checking the overall length.
